Exploring Krakow

Hello guys!
I finally got some time to write this post about my time in Krakow, Poland. It was my first time in Poland and I have to say I really enjoy it. Krakow has so much to offer, you can find castles, churches and old jewish quarter there, but let's start from the beginning. We went from Brno in the morning, it is about 5 hours of travel by bus. When we arrived, we went to visit Wawel which is the complex consisting of Royal Castle and the Wawel Cathedral, and it all lies near to the Vistula River. Then we continued to the historical center of Krakow named Old Town. You can find there many churches, such as St. Mary's Basilica, Church of St. Wojciech or Church of St. Barbara. We had some free time so we went for some coffee to Starbucks and we also visited little park in the middle of the center.

Next we went by bus to the near city called Wieliczka. Under the town is the Wieliczka Salt Mine which is one of the oldest salt mines in the world. We definitely had to go inside and it was something I have never seen before. I took some pictures there but it can't show what I've seen live. If you'll ever be in Krakow, I really recommend seeing it. And I also found a place where I want to have my wedding! Right inside the salt mines... Then we just continued to our hotel in Wieliczka.

On the second day of our trip we went to visit Jewish Quarter called Kazimierz. I really like this district, there was so many old synagogues and buildings. Then we went back to the center of the city and had some lunch there and also we visited some sights we haven't seen the first day. We also visited some shops and then we headed back home.
To sum up our trip, I really enjoyed Krakow, I think it is very beautiful old city with plenty of sights and great culture. I would also recommend taking a guide because he can give you a lots of information you wouldn't be able to find without it.

Thank you for reading!
