Exploring Barcelona

Hello guys!
It's been almost three months since I visited Barcelona, but I want to share some photos I took when I was there. I visited Barcelona when I was on my vacation in Calafell and as I said in my previous post about Calafell, Barcelona is just about 40 km away from it. We took a train and made a trip to Barcelona for a one day. I know, it is not definitely enough to see all the sights but if you want to see at least the most famous ones, it's alright.

We were there on our own, so I was something like a tour lady with a google map in my hand. We went from main station to get some Starbucks, because that day was really hot and we were walking almost everywhere on our foot. Then we continued to see Casa Batlló which is the Art Nouveau House, one of the famous work of Antoni Gaudí. The building is really amazing, unfortunately we weren't outside because we wanted to see another sights and we had such a little time.

Then we went to see La Sagrada Família, but it was a bit far away so we have seen a lot of amazing things along the way... old building, churches, memorials. When we finally arrived to the nearest park, we could see the top of La Sagrada Família protruding from the trees. When we walked through the park, there was La Sagrada Família, it is definitely one of the most beautiful building I have ever seen. It is so massive and you can see the every detail on the building. It's also built by Antoni Gaudí and this construction was to encourage a return to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. We also haven't been inside because the tickets were already sold out.

Our next stop was the Park Güell. We took the train because it was too far away. When we got outside, we went to the top of the park, there is a beautiful view of the whole of Barcelona. Then we continued down, where we could see the park itself, built by Antoni Gaudí as well. You have to pay to go inside which sucks, because everything is paid in these days. But we have seen it from a distance at least and it was worth it even so. The park is very large, so it took at least 2 hours to go through it. We came from the other side, so we've seen the main gate to the park in the end.

It was late by that time so we took our train back to Calafell. It was an amazing trip and Barcelona became one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. I would like to go back some day for a longer time because you need at least 4 days to see it all. But it was a beautiful trip even so.

Thank you for reading!
